Lessons that 6 of my Scouts have learnt on their 1st leaderless camp:

1: They live like pigs!
2: If you use up 7/8 pints of milk in the 1st 1hr 30mins, you have none left for the rest of the weekend
3: If you have a tomato sauce fight, there's none left for bacon or sausage cobs.
4: If you have a washing up liquid fight, there's none left to wash up with.
5: If you don't wash up, you have no items to cook or eat with.
6: if you waste matches, you can't light the gas meaning you can't cook.
7: You can't buy replacement matches until you're 18yrs old!
8: They all have an odd fascination with burning things (inc cereal!)
9: If the lads can't keep noise and/or farting to a minimum at night, the girls will kick you out into another tent!
10: There are no leaders about to bail you out!

BUT:

They have all had a fantastic time despite the weather and I am so proud of all of them for coping, reacting and most of all, being great mates and showing why Scouting is so valuable in Young People's lives!
